The Department of Construction Management is part of the School of Civil Engineering that is one of China’s leading institutions for teaching and research. The School has international profile with leading researchers working across many disciplines. The Master of Engineering in International Construction Project Management (ICPM) program aims to broaden and deepen students' knowledge of contemporary issues in the leadership, strategic management, and delivery of international projects to provide value to stakeholders and society as a whole. The unique characteristic of this program is to expose students to a new way of thinking, and to create awareness of how Chinese organizations operate, manage, and delivery projects in the fast-changing world. The program is practice-oriented. Students will be taught to think creatively, to be innovative with new ideas, and to use tools and techniques for effective management of projects. Students will be taught about problem solving, leadership, and the exploitation of technology. This is a unique opportunity to embrace Chinese culture and thinking and to engage in the world of international construction.

The ICPM puts China into the context of the global construction market (infrastructure, residential, healthcare, education, commercial, public and private projects). If you want to understand and know more about the Chinese market and how it manages the design and delivery of projects, this program is for you.

ØPersonal statement. Doctoral degree program applicants also need to submit a brief introduction of research experience.

ØDegree certificate. Master’s degree program applicants should submit a bachelor’s degree certificate. Those who have not graduated yet must provide a proof of education in current academic institution.

ØAcademic transcript. Master’s degree program applicants should submit an academic transcript of undergraduate study. Doctoral degree program applicants should submit academic transcripts of both graduate and undergraduate studies.

ØEnglish Language certificate and score report.

ØTwo online academic recommendation letters from scholars who have the title of associate professor or higher, or senior professionals in a related academic field. Please follow system instructions for submission of online recommendation letters.

ØPassport personal information page (personal and ordinary passport).

Note：Use the online application to apply. The online application offers tools for collecting and submitting some, but not all, of the documents and information required for application. Departments may require additional information, so please check their individual admissions pages as well as the remarks below.

3. Evaluation and Admission

ICPM enrolls students by document evaluation. The admission committee of the applicable department/school will review the application documents.

Admission to the graduate program is determined at the department/school level with oversight by Tsinghua University according to the result of document review and other factors. Certificate of Admission will be issued by THU Graduate Admission Office after the final admission result is released. Prior to this, applicants may check admission status via the THU Graduate Programs Application System for International Students.

4. Costs (Unit: RMB Yuan)

(3) Accidental Injury and Hospitalization Insurance: RMB 600/year
