Tsinghua Club Fair: 230+ associations in two days
On 23–24 September the Zijing Student Area hosted Tsinghua University's annual Joint Recruitment of Student Associations — more than 230 clubs across ten categories, from theoretical research to international communication, with sport the largest block with 58 clubs.
For ICPM students, this fair offered a fantastic chance to connect with peers across Tsinghua and explore extracurricular activities alongside their project management studies. The closest fits were science and technology innovation, academic research, and the international communication block — including SABRI, the Student Association of Belt and Road Initiative, which brings together over a thousand members from more than eighty countries. Many ICPM students stopped here to network with global-minded peers, though nobody limited themselves to only these relevant societies.
The Chinese Calligraphy Association drew a lot of attention, and it is easy to see why. A well-written character demands total concentration: a stroke cannot be redone, pressure and speed decide everything, and the result shows immediately. For ICPM learners, this mirrors project delivery: careful planning matters, and every decision shapes the final outcome.
And of course —无体育,不清华,no sports, no Tsinghua. A number of ICPM students joined running, tennis, ice hockey, figure skating and martial arts.
Traditional Chinese activities were a highlight too. Dragon boat racing stood out — a team discipline where synchronization matters more than any single rower's strength, a perfect analogy for collaborative project management that ICPM teaches — while Aikido and Wushu covered the intellectual side.

The lists are closed and the first training sessions are already scheduled. Now comes the interesting part for our ICPM participants: fitting all of it around their intensive coursework.
Wishing all ICPM students a successful and eventful semester!
